Meet the Cast of Black Nativity: Cassie Williams

Introduce yourself! Where have audiences seen you before and where can they see you next
Hello! I’m Cassie Williams. I’ve been a singer all my life. I’ve performed at Vintage before in The Wiz. This past summer I was in So Your Mom and Dad Broke Up at the Denver Fringe Festival. I am a semi-student at Metro State University; I just performed in Ragtime as Sarah’s Friend. I’ve been in a few local commercials. I have ongoing work at as an actor at Casa Bonita and as a Crisis Intervention actor training first responders with a company called Twopenny Productions.

What is your role in the cast, and what lights you up about that role?
I am in the Ensemble of Black Nativity. I love being part of such a talented group.

Do you have a favorite song or lyric from the show?
My favorite song is the gospel medley at the end of Act 1. It is very powerful.

Can you please share a memorable moment from rehearsals?
From day one everyone was so bonded and a family and willing to help make anything possible for this incredible production.

What are some of your personal favorite holiday traditions?
My family watches, “Frosty the Snowman” every year, it’s my favorite.

Why should audiences come and see Black Nativity? What makes this show unique?
It is a very powerful piece and everyone is family here. This is a very trying time in history and I’d highly suggest folks come to remove themselves from the hustle and bustle of regular life and the chaos of the holiday season, they can come to see Black Nativity to take that break and see a beautiful piece.
