DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
Theatre can be a force for change; it can entertain, educate, heal, and repair. The importance of welcoming narratives and experiences that differ from those we’ve been privy to cannot be understated, and we believe we have a duty to our patrons and community to be proactive and mindful in acknowledging identities unlike our own.
We have been and will continue to be committed to including the voices of all people. We will manage Vintage Theatre in a manner that embraces equity, diversity and inclusion, and to recognize and embrace underrepresented voices and viewpoints.
Our staff and board members have mandatory anti-bias training to: ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for artists to create; promote the dismantling of discriminatory practices; openly encourage difficult but critical conversations; and raise awareness around social justice and what we as an organization can do to represent and reflect the wonderful diversity of the human tapestry.
