Meet the Cast of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express: Luke Fish

Introduce yourself! Where have audiences seen your work recently and where can they see you next?
My name is Luke Fish and Murder on the Orient Express is my Vintage Theatre debut! I was last seen as Hero in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum with Performance Now Theatre Company way back in 2020, right before another funny thing happened. I don't have another acting project lined up, however, if you attend a show at the Denver Center for Performing Arts, just know that I play a small part in making that happen!

What is your favorite aspect of your role in the cast?
I love playing a character that has moments of levity in such a gristly situation while still wrestling with questions about ethics, morality, and justice in the wake of grief.

Who are some of your top fictional detectives/investigators?
Benoit Blanc in Knives Out is hands-down my favorite, especially with Ana de Armas as an incredible foil to Daniel Craig's detective. Other highlights are Clarice Starling (Silence of the Lambs), Jang Hae-Jun (Decision to Leave), Marge Gunderson (Fargo), William Somerset & David Mills (Seven), Rhonda Boney (Gone Girl), and the lovingly bumbling Nick Angel & Danny Butterman (Hot Fuzz).

Is there a specific line or moment from the play that resonates with you?
"And how about some nibbles?"

You’re playing the board game Clue—what your ideal character/weapon/location combo?
Give Mrs. Peacock the lead pipe in the conservatory and watch what happens... or don't. It's messy.

Two trains leave the station, one from Paris, one from Delhi, each leaving at the rate of—just kidding! Why should audiences come see Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express at Vintage?
It's a phenomenal cast, a time-tested tale, and a lot of fun. If you don't know the story, prepare to see a master at her craft weave an unprecedented murder mystery... and if you ARE familiar, bring a friend and watch the twists and turns unfold through new eyes. I hope to see you on board the Orient Express!
