Announcing the 2023 “New Play Festival”

New Play Festival

October 6th - 8th

Gallows Falls, by Bradden Mendelson

Professor Greg Waverman and his love interest, doctoral candidate Annie Talon, spend the winter in Gallows Falls, Vermont for the purpose of debunking 200 years of ghost stories associated with the 1825 cabin they have rented for the season. Soon, however, their skepticism is turned upside down, as embodied spirits reenact scenes right before their eyes, eventually pulling Annie and Greg into their stories. The Marquis de Lafayette, hero of the American Revolution, attempts to repatriate a stash of buried gold, all the while entangled in a centuries-old tryst gone wrong and the execution of an innocent woman. Historical events intertwine with supernatural mischief, as Greg and Annie learn the true history of the house.
