Meet the Cast of Sisters of Swing: Bethany Luhrs

Introduce yourself: where have audiences seen your work recently and where can they see you next?
I'm Bethany Luhrs--I most recently performed in The Music Man with Performance Now Theater company, playing Maude, one of the snobbish and gossipy Pick a Little ladies. You may also see me around during the holidays in my bonnet and hoopskirt, performing with the Yuletide Carolers troupe.

What is your role in the cast and what is your favorite part of that role?
I am playing Maxene, the middle sister. So far I am really enjoying Maxene's snarky sense of humor and independent spirit.

Do you have a favorite song or moment from the show?
The best moments are the tightest harmony chords. So satisfying!

How much did you know about the Andrew Sisters and their cultural impact before starting to rehearse this show?
I think the only song of theirs I was really familiar with was Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. I definitely did not have a sense of just how successful they were before working on this show.
